It's my pleasure to report that iFlag has sold 1004 copies so far. I'd like to thank everybody that bought it. There is demand for iFlag Netherlands and I'll upload it in the near future, but I would like to wait a little more since I don't want to flood the app store.
Finally, iTunes started to approve some other countries. Right now there are a total of 9 countries that you can get iFlag for. Check out the new iFlag page for links. You can also use the link on the "Products" menu that I just added.
On the quest to find a catchy short name for the flag application, I came up with iFlag USA. Creative, eh? :D Here is the iTunes URL. The name on the app page might not have changed yet, but it shows up when you search for iFlag.
Anyway, version 1.5 is out. It includes some minor bug fixes, a nice background image, and the ability to display the instructions with an info icon.
I hope you like the new version and tell your friends! Here is a short demonstration video on how to use iFlag.

There have been many requests for flags of other countries, so I made 43 other countries. You will soon see them as separate apps on iTunes when Apple approves them.
Some of the planned features for the next release:
- rotate the background image when the device is rotated.
- flip the USA flag to match the appropriate orientation, which requires the stars to be on top-left (thanks to steinman17)
- a settings page where you set whether you want the anthem to start on playback, etc.
Enjoy, and feel free to send feedback!
Exciting news. Now that a couple of days have passed since the release of the application, I can actually take a look at the sales reports. It seems that till December 21, there are 15 customers that bought the application. 9 of them are from the USA, and there are 6 other countries with one purchase each: GB, PL, FI, DE, AU, JP.
It's my pleasure to report that our first application is online: 3D Flag of the USA. Click on the link to go to iTunes and get the coolest flag application for iPhone and iPod touch. And here is the first introductory video that I put together right after I finally saw that it was approved to be in iTunes and needless to say I got really excited:)

It is a state-of-the-art 3D cloth simulation implementation that runs surprisingly well on such a small device. You can pull the flag, shoot wind at it, start/stop the strong wind and play/pause the national anthem. It supports multitouch, so you can pull the flag with some of your fingers and shoot wind at it with others.
The best part is, it costs only a dollar.
Yes, now that our first application is on iTunes, it was time to launch the site. Hopefully we will have many applications in the future that we will be able to blog about in here. I'm excited to do the first post, let this be the beginning of many more exciting entries.
